Due to the small instructor student ratio we do not allow extensions / refunds in case of sickness and travel. In order to maintain quality and also to ensure safety we cannot allow extensions however genuine the reasons may be.
We maintain a 1:8 ratio for beginner and intermediate level kids. For adults and advanced swimmers the ratio would depend on the level the participants are working at.
We insist that there is a person accompanying the child at all times and who needs to sit within the vicinity of the pool. This is firstly a measure of safety. Additionally if the child needs to go to the toilet someone needs to accompany them as the coach cannot leave the other children in the pool.
Finally at the end of the class the coach is not responsible for the childs safety once they have dismissed the class. Therefore the guardian needs to take responsibility at the end of the class.
With regards to adult classes, most of our locations are not keen on having people sitting outside the pool as there are ladies in the pool. Therefore please do not bring friends and relatives to observe the classes.
Swimsuit, towel and cap (in case of long hair). Goggles are optional but highly recommended
especially for beginner kids. Kids should be given kids size goggles (available at Speedo stores).

In order to structure our classes better, effective summer of 2016, we will be handing out certificates at the end of each camp to all participants. We will also have asessment criteria at the back of the certificates. Once all the criteria for a level is ticked off you will then be eligible to get a certificate for that level. Assessments will be carried out on the last class of the camp and certificates signed by the instructor. In case you re-enroll for another batch at the same level, you will get a certificate with the additional skills you have learnt in that batch.
Not unless you are a member of the facility. Additionally please do not allow kids to play in the water prior to the camp as they get tired, cold and therefore want to get out of the water early. Additionally the academy has an agreement with all locations only for class hours. Lastly this would not be safe as the instructor will not be around prior to and post class and the child is your responsibilty at this time.
On the first day of class, please bring up any medical issues such as asthma, epilepsy, heart conditions and any injuries / surgeries. Alternatively for children if there are any learning disabilities the coach needs to be aware of this. It is extremely important that these are discussed openly with the coach so that the class may be modified accordingly.
